Night Sailing out of the Alameda Estuary

Night sailing out of the Alameda Estuary
Out for a night sail with Nathan on his Maramu 46.  The night was uncharacteristically warm with extremely mellow conditions . . . so, we sailed over to Richardson Bay for a look at San Francisco from the other direction.

Delivery to San Diego Moved to Monday

Published by under Boats,The Adventure,Wylie 39

Just found out we are going to leave a day earlier than originally expected. On Monday, with the assistance of the tide, we will depart from the Richmond Yacht Club on our way to San Diego–to begin this journey.

Personally, I am almost out of time. So many todo items left . . . so little time.

Yacht Delivery Count-Down

Published by under Boats,The Adventure,Wylie 39

We are a bit more than one week away from the yacht delivery–the start of the trip for me.

Tuesday, of next week, we will depart San Francisco Bay, and sail to San Diego. It is going to be a quick trip–well be sailing as fast as we can to get to San Diego for the start of the Baja Ha-ha.

Right now, we are looking for another sailor to join us on a Tuesday through Friday sail to San Diego. Food will be provided.

Excited . . . 4 days (of 5) Sailing

Published by under Lido 14,Sailboat Racing

I am REALLY excited because there is quite a bit of sailing on the immediate horizon.

Tomorrow, I am taking the Lido-14 dinghy out for a spin around Morro Bay. On Thursday, I am heading up to San Francisco for a few days.

The racing up there will include:

  • Friday Night Beer-can races at Encinal Yacht Club on the Beneteau 40.5. I will be working bow.
  • Saturday Morning delivery and racing in the Stone Cup (also on the Beneteau). It is the first IRC race of the season, and run by the St. Francis yacht club. I will again be working on the bow.
  • Sunday–2nd day of the Stone Cup.

So–4 days of sailing/racing in 5-days. Not bad . . . .
